Cover crops had been part of Austin Poulson’s potato operation for over a decade. But bringing livestock into the mix? That was uncharted territory. Thanks to a McCain Innovation Hub on his farm, Poulson has seen that reducing tillage and integrating livestock can improve water infiltration, soil structure, and grow a better potato crop.
