Update! No-tilling corn into alfalfa

Here is an update of the corn that we no-tilled into standing alfalfa.

Thx for sharing…we are organic in west central Iowa and next year want to try the same thing.

Did you take a first cutting or just plant directly into the growing alfalfa?

Did the roller crimping set back the alfalfa fairly well or did it just pop back up like it does after driving on it?

How many years had the alfalfa been growing from when it was first planted?

Was it 100-day or more corn?

What was the Yield?

Did you no till another crop after the corn or till the field after harvest?

We would like to go back to alfalfa after the corn harvest…have you tried that?
