Rotary Hoe Seeded Cereal Rye

Absolutely, we can establish cover crops without having a no-till drill or even a conventional drill for that matter! Join us as we visit a cover crop field here in SE Minnesota, where the corn is just spiking through. This cereal rye cover crop was alternatively seeded using a rotary hoe with a gandy air box immediately after the soybeans were combined. The winter rye, aka cereal rye, was seeded around 40# to the acre, which is the current sweet spot Mark & Mike Stokes have settled on.
