Bob Danes shares his journey using rye as a cover crop

Bob Danes, his wife Kelly, brother Mike, and Mike’s wife Christina own and operate a cash crop farm, grain cleaning business, and trucking enterprise near New Holstein in Calumet County. The family is one of a growing number of Wisconsin farm families who are working with other farmers to find ways to meet the increased demand for food while protecting our waters, building soil health, and storing carbon. Bob is a member of the Calumet County Ag Stewardship Alliance (CCASA). He says that learning from the group and sharing his experiences with members is a central focus for him.
